Our (very!) collaborative look at the lives of carnivores in Yosemite gets a feature thanks to @roguedogs.bsky.social amazing camera work 😊 Yosemite is an ecological and aesthetic marvel!
Our cover for December! 🦊

Martin et al.(2025) show that species like bobcats, cougars, coyotes, gray foxes, and martens largely avoid each other in space but share surprisingly similar diets—revealing how landscape conditions shape coexistence but also their delicate balance.

Having worked w the Forest Rangers on this special project, we can attest firsthand (or 1st 🐾😉) to how amazing this project is. 🐆🙏🏾 "Your gift will support research through camera trap monitoring & scat surveys across 4 of Bhutan’s largest natural areas."
Bhutan’s wild cats face growing pressure from human encroachment. Home to 9 native species (including tigers, snow leopard, and manul), this new project is vital to ensuring their long-term survival.

Look what Rogue Ranger found during his wildlife detection surveys! Our dog teams follow the clues to find the data, and sometimes it leads us to fun field finds like this elk shed.

Just got our 1st call, likely not the last: one of our wildlife projects is at risk. We rescue shelter 🐕, who 💕 🥎, to find endangered species & support noninvasive wildlife research. That's it. We don’t ask for much. Just the chance to help our natural world. Uncertain times ahead. 😔💙🌎

In Finnish the word for aurora “revontulet” means “fox fire” because according to legend the origin of the Northern Lights are arctic foxes running so fast that their large, furry tails would brush up snowflakes into the sky - as in my #linocut #FolkloreSunday
