Growing up, I was admonished for having “soft hands,” under the presumption that I’m not a hard worker. I used to worry that, since I chose to protect my hands and wear gloves, maybe that meant I wasn’t man enough.

Y’know, staring #fatherhood in the face has had me reflect on what masculinity means to me as I finally hit true adulthood. All my life you’re told or shown that men wear collars and neutrals, provide money for the household, and probably have some sports knowledge in their back pocket.

An update: the wife loved the presentation, @shanemadej.bsky.social . This might be the single greatest merch item in history. Unrelated: you almost seemed to believe in tonight’s Watcher episode! That’s what inspired the early X-Mas reveal.
