A bit of a vulnerable post by me but we need your help to get us through what has been a more difficult period than 2020.

It would be really appreciated if you could read and share in your networks too 💛

It’s been a very hard year - Andy Bell
Unlike a lot of places in tech, my company, Set Studio/Piccalilli has no outside funding. Bootstrapped is what the LinkedIn people say, I think. It’s been a hard year this year. A very hard year...

Maybe we should try using AI to name AI models? Who can keep track of these? 1a, o1, 4o, o3… just name them Jaqueline or Bronson or something rememberable

I do like Bluesky.
But its impossible to come here and not be astounded and lose some brain cells by the enormous amount of absolute brainrot America has become.
Now, this would happen even more in most other similar platforms, but still, I'm tending to avoid it more and more.
Save the brain cells.

YouTube is tripping.
Scrolling down the videos on a channel, and it acts like it is doing the infinite scroll thing, but it’s just looping over the same 2 or 3 pages of results.

I'm doing a migration of payment provider on a BigCommerce store from Mollie to Stripe.

To my surprise, Stripe's support is the most useless thing ever - not one straight answer to about 4 or 5 queries. Damn.

Well, that is certainly one way to deal with grafitti on your building: make a font out of it! Cool.

Some literary award level writing, with great humour and very thoughtful points about AI coding assistance.

Golden age? Golden age for economic standup comedy. If you got the punchlines for it, which @justinwolfers.bsky.social always does.
The President's trade "deal" with the UK looks more like a pre-nup than a trade deal. (Except a pre-nup doesn't conclude with: "this document does not constitute a legally binding agreement.")
