Trump’s immigration detention camps exist to drive profits for the prison companies giving him money.

The more profit they make, the more money they’ll give him, and the more people he’ll find to fill up those prisons — it’s not about crime and it won’t stop with immigrants.

If you think gutting the professional status of NURSING one of the most essential, demanding, life-saving professions in existence is going to fly, think again. Trumpworld keeps inventing culture wars. Democrats keep trying to keep people alive.

You think?
Swastikas and nooses are dangerous hate symbols used by white supremacists to celebrate the history of hatred, mass murder and terrorism of the white supremacist movement.

Removing the hate symbol classification is an attempt to normalize white supremacy.

Never let hate win.

The mainstream press can pretend Trumps execution calls are as important as Obamas tan suit, Hillary’s emails or Bidens age if they need cues for how intensely they should cover it

The military is legally obligated to disobey illegal orders.

Trump wants the Democrats reminding them of that to be arrested, and reposting calls for them to be executed.

This is fascism — and pretending it’s not only empowers him to do worse.

Pay attention.

Iowa is a political paradox.
Iowa City Made Its Buses Free. Traffic Cleared, and So Did the Air. “The transit system is one of the greatest tools communities have to combat climate change and reduce emission. You can make a pretty immediate impact.” [nytimes.com]

Just a reminder: there was a Biden administration investigation into Epstein and Maxwell's co-conspirators. Trump killed it in January, fired the prosecutors, stole the files, & ordered Bondi to open a new sham investigation, led by a handpicked prosecutor, so DOJ wouldn't have to release the files.

If Trump has nothing to hide, he'd tell Pam Bondi to release the Epstein Files like they all promised.

Mike Johnson would have sworn in Adelita Grijalva yesterday.

Ghislaine Maxwell would be sent back to Florida prison instead of being pampered in Club Fed in Texas.

And...

He's guilty as hell.

I got this useful bon mot from a middle school teacher recently.

In response to, “I DONT UNDERSTAND,” he calmly said, “okay what steps have you taken to understand?”

And that’s when I realized that a lot of folks have no steps.
