Distressing how ChatGPT and other AI can review a code dump of COBOL errors in 30 seconds. It would take a couple hours usually to grab all the error logs and compiler outputs then review fault analyzer and convert binary message codes. Mainframe coding is simplified.

In a follow-up, OmahaSteajs is going to replace the thawed items. Much appreciated & glad to see companies stand behind their products.
Ordered from @OmahaSteaks, quality is great, shipping is not. Used to ship in foam cooler, now in insulated cardboard. Products were partially thawed. Must be woke courage to save a tree. Not good when burgers & chicken are thawed on delivery. I’ll need to call on this.

Very disappointed. The ParamountPlus app on Roku must’ve updated. Now the Roku screen reader doesn’t read within the app. We watch more on Paramount than other networks. Accessibility broken.

Tried coding some COBOL & DB2 with Microsoft Copilot. What a joke! I never got close to a useful query. Work wants us to use it, but so far I am struggling. Other options are so far superior.

Spent an hour using Copilot for COBOL/DB2 queries. I never got a useful SQL. Couldntvdetermine key between tables. ChatGPT needs very little help. My job is safe. Do people really pay $30/mo for this? @bdsams.com @thurrott.bsky.social

Another podcast bites it. I’ve followed podcasting since 2k5 & hosted for 6+ years. I had hope but the OG model felt doomed in approach. When major pods are down sizing & cutting expenses, they were doing merch & building a studio. Now they go to YouTube only. “Curse or don’t” was my creation. #RIP
I totally missed the idea of DOGE rewriting the SSA COBOL system in 6 months. I’m a COBOL coder & that sounds like a disaster. The quality of new tech projects always disappoint me as they are rushed and always flawed.

As I work more & more with Agile Project Management prociples, I’m finding that it is just an excuse for PMs to ignore items, fail to read documents, & simply overlook key stakeholders. Big Bang installs are all they do!
