Kurt Suzuki got a one-year contract to manage the Angels.

Remember, when you're licking their boots by advocating for price-fixing, that MLB owners are already planning for a 2027 lockout 13 months ahead of the CBA expiration. They already know they're doing it.

Conventional wisdom says if you throw extremely hard as an MLB SP you at significant risk to blow out and fade away.

In reality, the hardest throwing MLB SPs are the most long-lasting/durable. I studied 236 MLB SPs that debuted from 2008-2015.

Key player in $280 million in treble damages, architect of a strategy that cost MLB a World Series *and* got laughed out of court, but sure, let’s go get his opinion.

Might as well ask Jim Jones about best beverages for a picnic.
MLB commissioner Bud Selig has kept a fairly low public profile in recent years, but he just went on Mo Vaughn's podcast and praised salary caps in place in other major leagues. Some potential clues as baseball labor talks pick up next year. frontofficesports.com/selig-backs-...
Selig Backs MLB Salary Cap, but Warns Against Labor Fight
The implementation of a salary cap in MLB has received another significant public endorsement from one of baseball’s elder statesmen.

baseball is fun right now because you can say things to people like “… Durantula got Big Dumper with three filthy heaters” and instead of calling your doctor they will just say “hell yeah”

Miller/Sears for DeVries is similar to Cubs trading Samardzjia/Hammel for Russell. A's on the other end this time.

MLB players shouldn't let Mark De Rosa be the manager of the Team USA WBC team anymore. Don't play for a scab. www.nytimes.com/athletic/652...
After Bryce Harper-Rob Manfred confrontation, Mark DeRosa warned Phillies of commish’s power
DeRosa insisted he was joking with his comments, but players present didn't take it that way.

I can't believe the night Miles Mikolas had tonight. He touched 96.7 mph on his 4-seam while averaging 94.6 which is 2.2 mph higher than his season average of 92.2. He did not throw a 4-seam fastball under 93.5 mph. His slider averaged 90.6 mph.
The results: 5 shut out innings.
