Located at University of Rochester Medical Center, Rochester Victory Alliance is one of the oldest HIV vaccine research clinics in the US. With help from people like you, we can end the HIV epidemic. rochestervictoryalliance.org
Today, we handed out mini AIDS poster cards and other goodies to folks here at URMC. When the CDC and NIH are forbidden from acknowledging #WorldAIDSDay, it is doubly important for us to remind people that the virus continues to exist, and millions have died from it.

We're thankful to be here, still working with wonderful researchers and volunteers advancing HIV vaccine science forward.

From all of us at Rochester Victory Alliance: Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

The only thing that makes us happier than seeing our volunteers when they come in for their study visits, is when they show up rocking an Rochester Victory Alliance t-shirt. 😍 Thanks, Carlton!

Much like the recently formed West Coast Health Alliance, this new coalition will cooperation on public health data analysis, emergency prep, lab services, vaccine recommendations and joint purchasing.

We're so proud of New York for protecting its citizens!

New York State has the highest rate of folks over age 65 living with HIV in the US. Thanks to research, medication and supportive policies, HIV is no longer a terminal diagnosis.

Let's keep it that way.

This chart shows how long it's taken to develop vaccines for several diseases. For many, we are still waiting. (Malaria: 145 years and counting. Yikes.)

But see that tiny slice for Covid? That's thanks to mRNA!

Why is Emily smiling this beautiful Friday afternoon?
Because she's calling volunteers back to schedule their visits into our newest vaccine study! HVTN 321 is the first of 3 studies opening in the next few weeks. All focus on the broadly neutralizing antibodies featured in yesterday's video post.
August 1, 2025 at 6:38 PM
A few people living with HIV, known as "elite controllers," have been able to create special antibodies that fend off the virus w/o treatment or meds.

Researchers are now incorporating these broadly neutralizing antibodies (bNAbs, pronounced "bee-nabs") in studies to treat and prevent HIV...

Today, #ZeroHIVStigmaDay, is a fine day to stand up for people living with HIV. How?
* TALK about HIV. Learn the facts, spread the word.
* FIGHT the inequities that increase vulnerabilities.
* VOLUNTEER with a prevention or support organization.
* SPEAK OUT when you hear destigmatizing comments.

We've reproduced a series of vintage '80s and '90s era AIDS protest posters for Pride this weekend. Can't wait for Saturday!

Along the "Rainbow Revolution" theme for Rochester's Pride Festival this year, we're throwing it back to the AIDS social revolution of the 80's and 90's for Saturday's parade.
