A story to soothe the frazzled soul, alt text a must-read.
THREAD.

3 years ago, with no warning, a brilliant orange farm cat wandered over from the draughty barn where he had been living, in rural Cornwall, and decided he wanted to live with us instead.

We decided to call him Jim.

This is the first photo I took of him, on that night: December 1st, 2022.

Hotboi Hegseth is severing all DoD ties to Scouting America (formerly known as the Boy Scouts). While I prefer demilitarized scouting, I suspect this is going to anger a lot of people, perhaps leading to that organized antifa group the magats are so terrified of. Antifa Scouts Arise!

Ep 6

Always pay the people who work for you, & keep your promises to them.

No one is above the law.

Citizenship requires participation.

No one is free until we are all free.

No one is equal until we are all equal.

This is an incredibly important graph and post which a large part of the climate science community is intentionally ignoring and trying to hide.

Our climate is in a much more dangerous state than main stream climate scientists are willing to acknowledge.

Ep 5

This war was violent & destructive, like all wars. Many people didn't care who won & were just trying to survive, or get rich.

Hate-filled men on the western frontier took advantage of the war to sadistically destroy tribal communities. Gen. Washington approved it.

We have a special visitor at work today. Meet Ollie, a Flammulated owl who can no longer fly, probably because they were hit by a car. Ollie now lives at On A Wing & a Prayer in New Mexico & is learning to be around groups of humans so they can be an ambassador for bird safety.

Which side are you on?
The President of the United States just called for Democratic members of Congress to be executed. "HANG THEM", he posted.

If you're a person of influence in this country and you haven't picked a side, maybe now would be the time to pick a fucking side.

Recruits to the Continental Army were each promised 100 acres of Indian land. Land that was not the Army's to give away.

Vaccination requirements are fundamentally American.

Even this war for independence was a proxy for European interests.

Repeat after me, "the chemicals in fire retardants dropped on wild fires are poison".
As fear ripples across the Hermits Peak-Calf Canyon Fire burn scar about newly discovered toxic metals in Mora County groundwater, elected officials and residents are increasingly wondering whether a federal office overseeing a $5.45B fire compensation fund will step in to help.

🚨 The Trump admin. just proposed a set of regulatory rollbacks that would dismantle the #ESA and drive hundreds of climate-impacted species closer to #extinction.

The proposals would also make it easier for industry to bulldoze, drill, and destroy critical habitat.

OUR VIEW: This is an emergency, one where the government’s response must rise to the level of risk to residents. The people of Mora County need testing, clean water and filters. Now. sfnm.co/4phxpFp
Mora County water users deserve assistance now
The state must make testing free and convenient — water fairs already do some testing for residents free of charge.

Takeaways

Men of wealth & power work to maintain & expand their advantages. To the exclusion of everyone else.

Freedom & self-determination are compelling to those who don't have either.

Too many people are happy to do terrible things to others.

But for years he rebuilt the American legal system, resulting in the Supreme Court's right-wing supermajority.
