Other than their free tier, I've never seen a free VPN that actually protects your privacy; if you're getting service for free, then your data is the product.
Proton seems to be the one exception, and I believe their free tier is funded through their charitable foundation but I might be wrong.

It was a continuity of government training mission. Pilots have to fly and train in that airspace. It's unavoidable.
