Doing a proper introduction as I got a bunch of new followers today. Hi! I’m a Canadian artist who works with collage, encaustic and mixed media. I make work that is inspired by anxiety, dreams and the unconscious.

Yup. Hard agree. It’s something I battle against constantly. Boredom is such an important source of creativity!

Increasingly convinced the main damage cell phones have done to creativity isn't decreased attention spans or what not but the elimination of productive boredom. Inspiration comes from the mind filling the void inside. Hard to make art when you're constantly silencing the silence with "content."

With all sincerity, Elections Canada is a national treasure.

- Voting typically takes less than 15 minutes
- We make it easy for citizens to vote, without cumbersome registration hurdles
- We have every reason to trust that ballots will be counted fairly, and results reported swiftly

I live in Ottawa Canada where the winters are LONG. This week the sun has been shining and the snow is melting and for the first time in months I didn’t have to wear my coat. It’s always an amazing feeling of joy and rebirth.

When I was at art school in Cleveland, I was woken out of a deep sleep, heart racing by what my body told me was a VERY BAD sound. It turns out a medevac helicopter had crashed at the Cleveland Clinic a few blocks away.

lol this reminds me of the time I slept in a yurt in a Tibetan region in China and was awoken in the middle of the night because a yak strolled in (apparently they keep salt licks in the yurt for the yak’s disposal, our hostess was super amused by how surprised we all were)
