DHSC will end up having to negotiate with staff side as PRB isn’t being accepted by most unions this year. So this feels like the Treasury starting negotiations with a low figure. But poor tactic if they expect to end up around inflation and want to avoid a row.

It has and the owner has changed it but the bulk of users are not seeing what we see when we go there, but are at risk if seeing more of it over time so having a counterbalance is important if you want to counter radicalisation. So for some of us and some orgs it remains important.

One difference, at least in what we saw, was Canada’s declared multi culturalism, acknowledgement of discrimination and debate on First Nations rights. But being a place colonised rather than sending colonisers, plus the linguistic dynamic, this is perhaps understandable. we could learn from this.

Both are trying to navigate how to maintain relations with America as a long standing strategic and economic partner but with a President who is damaging their economies. This is a huge chalmnge for Canada and balancing diplomacy and retaliation is hard for MC.
