Really rather fond of pluralism , nuance, context, consideration and politeness. Not so sure that entitlement, rudeness, hysteria and victimhood has much to offer society.

That’s interesting, I was a Brit living in Spain and Finland for those 2 years. Over here all I remember was increasingly shrill US mainstream media talking about how resilient and laser focused Biden was right up to the Presidential debate, then a mix of excuses and denial. Naive to believe Trumps

Anders, British withdrawal from India was a peaceful, previously negotiated and a subsequent partition of India and Pakistan was an internal agreement between the Independence leaders
Certainly there was a small conflict prior to withdrawal but that was more to with keeping the Japanese out

In the other theatres you mention the skies were uncontested. The A10 would suffer enormous attrition rates in the heavily contested airspace of Ukraine.
However, away from the frontline they may still prove useful as an anti drone platform.

Most major European nations have had the ability to develop nuclear deterrence for half a century & it’s primarily been the USA’s reputation as a reliable ally that has led them to abjure independent deterrence.

Both our Finnish / British sons have that clear eyed sense of duty when it comes to Finland. As do their mates ( many also from dual citizenship families).

Usually most folk looking from the outside in would say nothing because it’s not our politics, it’s yours. However, now it’s bleeding over as highly consequential to the rest of the world.
