Exactly. What fight?
What "fight," exactly?
Q: What did you see in the second strike?

Cotton: "I saw two survivors trying to flip a boat -- loaded with drugs, bound for the United States -- back over, so they could stay in the fight."

"[T]here's a lot that's left to be desired" on Trumps dealing with immigration issue.

Ya think? Yeah, there's a lot left to be desired about hauling people out of their cars, kidnapping them, and deporting them all without due process. This is a leader of our opposition FFS.
Jeffries: "The border is secure. That's a good thing. It happened on his watch. He wants to claim credit for it, of course he'll get credit for that. In terms of making sure that we actually deal with the issues that matter, including on immigration, there's a lot that's left to be desired."

This.
Same article talks about Trump "blurring the lines" by befriending Nazis like Nick Fuentes. No, he's not blurring anything. He has befriended Nazis. You can just say that. It's simple, it's unambiguous, and it's true.

Report what people do and say. Don't seek excuses for them.

Exactly.
All of the verbiage used in these kinds of stories about when these right-wing jackasses REALLY MEAN IT when they use slurs and hateful speech vs. when they're just joking could be avoided if New York Times reporters simply talked about what people did rather than trying to divine their intentions.

Yesterday, Trump defended the Saudi Crown Prince in the Oval Office.

He said he had “nothing” to do with the murder of Jamal Khashoggi.

But I reviewed a call while serving on Trump’s NSC that I believe would be of interest to the Khashoggi family and the American people.

Release the transcript.

Hear the latest science as I presented it last month at the ATLAS25 event in Helsinki.
Let me know if anything is unclear, or if you see good reasons why your government shouldn't immediately act on this. 🌊

JFC. Does @schumer.senate.gov not get that by caving, Democrats make it *harder,* not easier, to make the ACA subsidies expiring stick politically to Trump/GOP? This effort to shame Republicans in this context risks signaling to low-info voters that Rs are standing on conviction and Dems aren't.

And we're all supposed to pretend that this show-vote is anything more than theater.
The problem isn't that they caved for a promised vote; the problem is that the vote will be a meaningless gesture impressing no one but Senate Democrats.

It will fail. ACA beneficiaries will suffer considerably as a result and there will be no consequences of any kind for Republicans.
Whoa -- Sen. Durbin went to up Leader Thune during the vote last night to tell him that on the shutdown vote and ACA promise that "8 of us are sticking our neck out that you're going to keep your word. I hope you will. He said 'I assure you I will,'" Durbin says just now

Along with a promised show-vote that the Dems know very well will not pass or become law.
Please don’t think this beltway game of having retiring Dem senators vote yes while everyone else votes no is going to shield leadership from the end result. We see what is happening and can’t be fooled by those games.

Three times this year Senate Republicans have waived the 60-vote requirement of Senate Rule 22 to end debate and proceed with a simple majority vote without any Democrats. To override CA electric vehicle standards, yes. To fund the government, no. Not when they can blame the Democrats.
By a vote of 52-42, the #Senate did not invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to H.R.5371, Continuing Appropriations. (House)

Dem/Independent senators voting in favor: Cortez Masto, Fetterman, and King. GOP Senator Paul voted against .
