@schumer.senate.gov either failed to keep his caucus in line or, as looks likely by the particular Senators not up in '26 who voted yes on the "deal", arranged the capitulation. Obviously he should resign, but @democrats.senate.gov also choose him anew every day they do not vote for a new leader.

ICE's new budget (~$86B) is on par with the military budgets of Germany, the UK, and India. The total budget for immigration enforcement (~$150B) is about the same as Russia's military budget. Waste (of money), fraud (crony contracts), and abuse (of human rights).
