Quite honestly I am impressed when anyone has stuff that matches in their house. Nothing in our flat does. We have an ‘eclectic’ style.

I just find disruptive innovation is often egotistical, assuming it is either a. jargon used to impress people or b. Exploiting system change for their own profit. There are occasions for disruptive innovation imho, but it’s easy to underestimate how hard it is.

I few years ago I reached peak outrage, I don’t feel it made a big difference, now I’m just exhausted. So many people and different groups will be affected by this. At the risk of being alarmist, this might just be the start of Trumps influence and he is not even in office yet.

This is awful. I have long been concerned by Facebook, I stopped using my account years ago and lost the password and have refused to get a instagram, both because of meta ethics.

Funnily enough these look a lot like some cultural principles I had been trying to write about for working in complexity. I got them down to 3/4: 1. Gather evidence 2. Work openly 3. Plan to adapt. Each is then powered up by a 4th: Make things and demonstrate.

Completely. Most things grow. Nothing grows indefinitely. Although it’s some people’s greed, for many people it’s about survival in a system they may no longer agree with.
