The SUV had the most character development in this story. Rolled away like, “I will not be complicit in this bootleg dystopia.”

Let’s not pretend this came from nowhere. Israel bombed sovereign nations, flattened refugee camps, hunted journalists, committed war crimes - all with impunity. Now one of the few nations able to respond - Iran - pushes back, and that’s the story? To me, sirens in Tel Aviv signal overdue symmetry.

In these moments, it’s not that I think something is funny. It’s that my brain short-circuits under pressure and accidentally opens the comedy tab instead of the grief + despair one. Because laugh or cry, right? It’s a survival technique - what the fuck else is there to do? 🤷🏻♀️

No. Dems aren’t longing to be indicted. The cuffs don’t symbolize defiance; jesus christ, it’s the categorical opposite - they signal violent collapse. Authoritarianism always tries to make persecution look like a photo op. But sure, let’s make the handcuffs aspirational. That’s totally normal 🤨

It takes effort to offend an entire state, misname a sitting senator, and still look bored doing it. But hey, shoutout to J.D. Vance for proving Ohio exports include white noise and weak sauce. I mean…the guy went looking for culture war points and found a geography quiz - and still failed 💀🎯

They’re test markets for what a post-democracy election still looks like on paper. Gerrymandering isn’t a glitch and it isn’t just about maps - it decides who gets sick, who gets silenced, and who survives policy. For fuck’s sake, we’re watching the Constitution get quietly edited out of relevance 😖

Oh yeah, without a doubt. I’m in the camp that thinks it kicks in right when she’s mentally prepping to lie - like a micro-mutiny, right before her mouth goes full propaganda.exe

Only if she was preloaded with a new script. Her whole operating system runs on Biden-bashing and glitchy patriotism - remove that, and you’re basically asking PowerPoint to freestyle 🤷🏻♀️

Love when prison is the first time the state remembers you’re alive. It’s the only place you’re guaranteed a full belly, access to a doctor, and a warm place to sleep. Even a community, for better or worse. Fuck me, that’s more than most people get for doing everything “right” in many countries.

People say “the science isn’t settled,” but under a microscope, it’s screaming.
If those Dutch lensmakers who invented the microscope only knew their glass would survive empires just to be questioned by half of Congress - stunted man boys who’d rather argue with the light than follow where it leads.

I want zoning laws laid by choreographers, infrastructure scored like film, and city plans written by musicians - sidewalks that give reasons to keep going. Imagine budgets debated like jazz + tax code line breaks w/ comedic timing. And damnit, DMVs designed by drag stage managers on a tight call 💅🏼

If I declared myself exempt from federal law, would the Times just print it neutrally in italics?

Timing is everything – especially when profit aligns so perfectly with policy. Hard to call this coincidence when the stakes (and the settlements) keep rising.

It’s wild to think how far we’ve come in understanding and addressing addiction. As a child of an addict, I’ve clung to hope despite countless setbacks – but this moment feels different. Feels like we’re getting closer to a future where science rewrites what we thought was possible.

Generations are meaningless? Maybe. But without them, how would we argue on forums about which console defined our childhood or gave us the golden age of gaming’? Meaningless labels are the backbone of every passionate internet debate – and honestly, I respect that ✊🏼

Insurers hit the jackpot with the ACA, raking in subsidies while patients and taxpayers got stuck with soaring premiums. We don’t hand over highways or public schools to billionaires, so why let corporations monopolize access to our health care? It’s a right – not a luxury item like yachts or jets 🤦🏻♀️

Turner handed the NSA tools to erase the boundary btwn surveillance and overreach. These laws monitor not just threats but activists, journalists + regular folks. Each expansion of power chips away at privacy, turning security into an excuse for control. History keeps teaching, but we keep ignoring.

Newsom isn’t crossing divides; he’s playing their game. CA is in crisis and the fed gov’t holds the purse strings. While literal fires rip through my home state, the metaphorical blaze is this: a Democratic leader forced into symbolism that reads like submission. We should be furious, not fooled.

When media abandons truth for power, democracy dies. What remains is our society today - burdened by deception, silenced dissent, and a systematic manipulation of reality. In true Orwellian fashion, we now bear the weight of truth’s abandonment under the crushing machinery of authoritarian control.
