Knobcon Sunday! I'm planning on spending more time (& probably money) on the con floor today. Maybe I'll figure out the blank panel scavenger hunt. Might go to lectures?

Anyway, if we're mutuals & haven't met, here's what I'm wearing, track me down to say hi!

They arrived in time for knobcon!

Welp, I think I found part of the problem. Pretty sure this is a power protection component. I'll look for other toasted things then take this module out to go into the penalty box to be gone over with a multimeter later.

(All the power cabling is plugged in correctly according to silk screening.)

B took this really good picture of Dozer, presented here for your Caturday feed.

Sketched my view at lunch, pen & watercolor on cold-press paper. This is a courtyard at work, where I'm not allowed to take photos, so you can't see what it really looks like in comparison.

If I've got to wake up this is a good consolation prize. Bananarama pancakes at Jojo's Diner:

It is super beautiful out today so this time I sat on a park bench in Palatine & sketched a scene.

Dozer is well hidden as he watches B shoveling the driveway.

Today is for pointless pretty watercolor.

One more. I just really love getting so many sounds at once out of something with "only" two oscillators.

Lower register, slower pace. Time just evaporates while I'm tweaking it just-so.

Fuck this thing is enthralling.

Front row seats were only $20, so I was wondering what was wrong with them. If I were much shorter this could be an issue. But I'll have a very good view of the conductor's gestures & the bowing of the bass strings.

I hate being cold, so I take advantage of modern & traditional textile forms.

Here's Dozer attempting to sleep despite my attempts to take pictures of him sleeping.

On a (sticker) roll tonight so I did both sides of my new soft pastel box from Jackson's Art.

These stickers came from craft fairs, Etsy, artists, Kickstarters, in boxes with purchases, & assortment packs from Michaels & amazon.

Last, the under/back side of the mini-synth briefcase is for entities where my only interaction may be they handed me a cool sticker at knobcon.

Exceptions: I have bought earrings from Happy Hardwear, an album from modbap, DIY touch pads from LANDSCAPE, parts from thonk, & too much from Sweetwater.

Here's a much smaller collection of stickers on the inside lid. I put the streamers' stickers here because this is what will show on stream if I use the briefcase to play something.

New sticker collage on the lid of my mini-synth briefcase! These are all companies/brands I've got kit from or am otherwise involved with.

B got me Gansai Tambi Granulating Colors watercolors for Christmas. Here are some of the experiments I did tonight. The special thing about them is how many colors one color will separate into, given enough water & space.

(Note the white balance is wonky in these & I can't fix it on my phone.)

Yesterday's project involved getting all of my rack-mount synthesizers actually racked & hooked up to MIDI, power, & audio interfaces.

Since most of these can do more than one thing at a time, I'm definitely hindered by there only being 16 MIDI channels.
