I remastered, re-lettered, rewrote and old comic just to see if I could. In making things a bit less transgressive, I think I got closer to the heart of the story I wanted to tell. Completely free on itch robinhoodie.itch.io/life-of-vice...

VWestlife has been putting in the deadpan delivery work for old tech heads like myself. Please enjoy this video he made highlight an old piece of video gear I used from 1999 until the early 2010s.

Donkey Kong Bananza (SW2) Super fun in the moment to moment but cannot sustain itself in the long term. Everything that is a blast in the first level becomes routine by the end. It's a hard call, do you spice things up or do you let the experience remain something you casually chip away at?

PYPY - Sacred Times: Synth laced garage psychedelia. The kind of music that feels enough like an occult ritual that it can still hit me when little else can. Shadows cast by strobe lights climbing up the empty church walls music. pypy.bandcamp.com/track/sacred...

Providence: I feared Burrows' art would cause me to bounce of the work, but in time I came to appreciate the labor that went into telling a story composed almost entirely of conversations. There' a good portion of the work I could do without. But rarely have I felt so on the ground / in the moment.

Virtua Fighter 4 Evo (PS2) This is where the series took a turn to being more reactive and expressive in the play over the high speed guessing game of VF1-3. Just that little touch of being able to cancel from one move to another connects you so much more to your fighter. Still looks great too.

Again, I would love to have conversations about art and how important it is for the human soul, but not with people who demand cheap-to-free labor from working class artists while having a ton of expensive corporate nerd shit in the background

Terminator Zero: Very silly with all its time travel hand waving and "spunky kids in danger" hi-jinx. BUT in having the time a series does, you get to go through the beat by beats of an unstoppable machine rampaging through a world that can't comprehend such a thing and chew on all the moving parts.

My mum has been making needle felted mice for a few years and enjoys challenging herself with new themes and ideas. She's just set up her first exhibition at the stately home she volunteers at, with a family of period mice. Incredible.

Batman Forever (ARC) The worst brawler I have ever played. Your attacks wiff when standing in front of the enemy, there's no hit stun or i-frames, enemies can break your combo, the game runs out of ideas 5 minutes in and goes on for 45. I hoped for loud stupid sugary trash, it was only one of those.
