When 49.8% of voters elected a would-be dictator, we knew there would be bad days ahead. This is one of them. He’s determined to destroy Harvard if he can’t control it. And bribery is the main course at tonight’s dinner for his crypto pals.
Stay strong, folks. This country is worth fighting for.

Let's have a moment of appreciation for federal workers who are still able to both send tips and make jokes. Referring to the DOGE staffers moving into the GSA with their little sleep pods, a source tells me, "'Musk' takes on such a new meaning."

FAFSA now asking just what kind of white you are.

And people in America still think being white will save you from this administration.

Remember when Trump called for "termination" of the Constitution in 2022?
The New York Times played it on Page 13.
Now that Trump's "termination" is happening, I wonder if the Times' editors have any regrets for years of normalization and "both sides" framing that comforted the would-be dictator.

It is Friday afternoon of a wild, wild week. And yet for me a reassuring one. My greatest fear was not of what they would do. It's that we would let them. And I'm seeing a lot of beautiful intransigence. From federal workers. From people all over the country obstructing ICE....

Donald Trump, Jr., Eric Trump, and Ivanka Trump have never been hired for their abilities or on merit.

It's always been because they have a rich Daddy, which is also how their own father "qualified" for all of his first jobs.

Exactly. Blaming Biden for the bad judgement of a majority of voters in November is nonsensical and, more importantly, offers the wrong lessons to those who want to move the country forward.
It's all of our responsibility folks, period.
No, this is an American public failure. We are why Trumpism lives. We may be poorly served by a vapid, profit obsessed media, but there is no world where Trump was not fully measured and understood - and people chose him, or chose not to show up.

This is US.
Compelling take from Adam Tooze on the historical legacy of the Biden presidency. Bidenism really did do better on economic inequality and real wages for the bottom of the distribution than any post-Reagan presidency.

But it failed at its core mission: to end the Trump era.

Do you know why a president would do all the most evil and heinous shit via Executive Order? Because his party can't easily make it law. And if they can't make it law, they can't make it last.

Don't let anyone make you feel like this is The End. Do not let them demoralize you. Live to see them die.
