It is "stupid fast".
I have a degree in philosophy, but worked my career as a software developer. Over the years I met so many PhD's in computer science, who could not write, give a presentation, or talk coherently about anything outside their career. We need everyone to have a basic understanding of the world.

To my mind higher ed is not just about training for a job. I think this has been a problem for decades, not just an AI problem, but AI does accelerate that problem. Higher Ed is about exposure to new ideas across the human spectrum of thought.

As someone who started writing code a LONG time ago, I can not agree more. The first time I wrote a line of code the cpu was 8 bit, memory was in 8K banks, and the code was assembler. I still find myself thinking about how to shave a byte here or a cpu cycle there. I love Swift.

Mr Conway and Mr Goldman are both correct. Trump is a narcissist and this is who he really is in this post. He really does want to be king and be called king. All true. But it is also true that of all the things that Trump/Musk are doing, this is not the priority.

What I want to know is why Trump thinks the USA needs to "own" Greenland? What in Greenland does Trump think is of value to the USA? It seems so random.

If another app launched Safari would not that instance of Safari then be a child of whatever app launched it? I guess that depends on how it was started. I would check the Actrivity Monitor to see if it is a child of anything other than launchd.
