It just occurred to me that on this day 35 years ago (some of) the seeds were sown for jungle…
Released OTD 35 years ago. Tell Me Why? by the Sindecut. This mad talented UK crew mixed hip-hop, soul and reggae similarly to Massive Attack and Soul II Soul. Despite a deal with Virgin, and a fearsome live reputation they never quite broke thru. That baseline tho'..

I’m seeing more and more people (this is at least the 3rd example in the last month) breaking down the financial specifics of what they do as artists, promoters etc etc. It’s often sobering / depressing but fascinating, and I think a very good practice for us all to get into.
