With little public scrutiny, the Trump administration is handing out hundreds of billions of dollars in tax cuts to some of the country’s most profitable companies and wealthiest investors. At the same time, it’s gutting services to the poor and exploding the debt. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/08/b...

Thousands gathered in Indianapolis at No Kings singing National Anthem together. We love our country. We protest because we want to protect and defend a democracy Trump and Project 2025 are destroying.

Teddy Swims, during a show in Indianapolis Wednesday night, got emotional about his new baby boy, wiping tears from his face as he sang a new song, “Small Hands,” about fatherhood. He spoke of a tender moment with his own dad after the birth. He came out wearing a hat that said, “Best Dad Ever.”

So if Trump somehow dissembles the Constitution and makes it so he can run again, that means Obama can run again, too.

That would make for a Rocky II style grudge match of the century.

Jonathan Haidt Started a Social-Media War. Did He Win?
When a study challenged his bestselling book’s thesis — that social media harms kids — the New York University psychologist fired back. That was just the beginning.

Also take note of their masks - as the administration demands that Columbia et al ban masks on campus, so they can identify protesters more easily.
Unidentified men grabbing someone off the street and putting her in a car because she wrote an op-Ed. This as flatly authoritarian as anything we’ve seen in this country in a very long time.
Video of the international student at Tufts being arrested by "federal authorities" in Massachusetts has been released and it's terrifying.

They're not even uniformed officers. Just secret police thugs in hoodies and masks.

I’ve enjoyed watching #IU have a great season but it’s clear they benefited from a really weak schedule. Getting blown out by Notre Dame. Got manhandled by Ohio State. Best win was at home against a lackluster Michigan team.

Really ragged start for #IU.

Cooper Flagg has played maybe 10 games for #Duke and I’m already sick of hearing his name. Great player. Yes. But ESPN devotes 5 minutes to him every game, even when he loses, and their game announcers are nauseating.

The ‘Landslide’ That Wasn’t: Trump and Allies Pump Up His Narrow Victory
The latest vote count shows that Donald J. Trump won the popular vote by one of the smallest margins since the 19th century. But Mr. Trump claims a “powerful mandate.”
