RIP Lalo Schifrin. So many great works but this will always be my favorite of his (for obvious reasons to those who know me.)

Well dammit. I love his jazz works but this soundtrack, for other personal reasons, remains my favorite of his glorious movie scores.

Jasmine is in full bloom around my neighborhood and the perfume in the air is magical.

The coolest home in my neighborhood decorates their yard for Halloween with tons of decor. This past H, they put up this towering ghoul with animated eyes.

All of it goes away in November, usually. Not this time. They’ve kept the ghoul and just redress it for other holidays, like “prom.” I ❤️ this.
A traditional oversized Halloween ghoul prop , easily 10 feet tall plus, standing in a lovely front yard in early May. It’s dressed as “Prom Queen.” She’s been there since last Halloween in all sorts of guises. I will be heartbroken when they finally takes her down.
