Clemens obviously the hero last night. But I thought Julien's at bat in the 9th was huge. Got a single on an 0-2 count immediately after Clemens homer and kept the momentum going. Julien is out of options and likely won't be back next year but I still cling to the idea he can hit.

My sense is that these billionaire owners feel they get a pass on paying a livable wage because, you know, they support the arts!

Another one of those days where I'm trying to decide which is more disastrous. Cancelling this funding or the EPA moving to cancel 7 billion in grants for solar energy.

Doesn't matter if Twins are in buy mode, sell mode, or between, I would move Castro. Twins need to see what they have in Luke Keaschall (currently in St. Paul) and he would have more opportunity with Castro not around. Also, Austin Martin is available in St. Paul to take Castro's utility role.

Seems like a reasonable return to ask for if the prospects the Twins receive are projected for the majors sooner (in a year or two) rather than later. (A kid who just graduated from high school.)

I recall the Tea Party protester with the sign "Keep your government hands off my Medicare." I'm sure there's the same level of ignorance out there, and some who will always fall in line behind TACO Don. But my sense is that a lot aren't paying attention because this bill really is a shit sandwich.

Non-violence and chanting something like "Taco's Gestapo" in unison would work better. The thing is you never know who the protesters committing the acts of violence really are. Far right extremists infiltrated the George Floyd protests for example.

What we need in MN is an automatic continuing appropriations law that authorizes state funding to continue if a biennium budget is not reached. Shutdowns cost money. And why should state employees always be caught in the middle? Wisconsin and NC have this. MN needs it too.

Democracy is defended with transparency. The names and information about these thugs need to be widely publicized. They need to know that there will likely be consequences for working for ICE.

Sparse crowd for Twins game yesterday for sure. But those school kids chanting "let's go Twins" were loud and whooping it up- especially when they saw themselves the big screen.
