Great example. I’ve often heard people say they believe medieval people discouraged or punished female literacy, whereas Mary is usually shown reading during the Annunciation, so every medieval person constantly saw images of the #1 female role model reading. The anti-learning Middle Ages is a myth.

I’m not a journalist or campaign finance guy to start digging this stuff up, but at this point I’d be pretty surprised if he hadn’t been actively recruited for the race by some MAGA-aligned org and had his first ad funded and produced by the same. He didn’t self-fund that slick production.

I suspect even if you as a voter hate trans people, the fact that someone like Kamala Harris has so perceptibly turned the transphobia knob back and forth while looking to the audience for approval, showing she does not actually believe in anything, is way more offputting than the supposed wokeness
