I was gonna type something about a casual Saturday morning, but then I realized it’s 2:00 p.m. That being the case…After a hard morning of chores, it’s important to reward yourself with an afternoon break before getting back on the “to do” items. 🤪😱

A couple of seasons ago, I decided to save some money and close the pool myself, with my vast skill set. Come spring, we had frogs. Not this year. it’s not fall around Casa Burkhead until that pool is closed. :-)

A moment on the back deck. The sun falls fast this time of year, and I’ve been told that we “fall back” tonight. Went over and helped Seth move some stuff out of his bus/RV. He’s getting ready to spray installation. While there, Miss Eryn and her Plus One did a drive by.

Bulk of chores moved to the DONE column. Brought to a boil a pot of chai tea: Well, a box of concentrate. Added eight tea bags of Harney & Sons Hot Cinnamon Sunset tea: The tea I boil when I’m serious about it. And the candy corn-themed marshmallows didn’t hurt a bit.

Yesterday, I did a Cannonball Run trip to Louisville to attend Celebration of Life for my friend Bob Strohman. His niece Jennifer Strohman Taylor did a great job. Bob was also a fan of home made holiday cookies, so the family let people pick their favorite cookie cutters. My new, prized-possession.
