Thats the point. If Unions become a solution for non-union, healthcare for small/medium businesses, the profile of Unions change immediately and the quality of care options go up immediately for those non union workers

Won’t be easy. Wouldn’t happen fast. But it would be game changing
This would be great, but most Americans don't have a union job! But universal health care would be best. Def a human right.

Reposting because this is an important point regarding ICE warrants.
Bryan MacCormack, the executive director of a New York-based immigrant rights group, was pulled over by CBP with two undocumented passengers in the vehicle. He knew his rights, refused to acknowledge their "warrant", and despite CBP threatening him, the agents eventually were forced to let him go.

In Guanacaste, Costa Rica, we are now in what we call our verano (summer) where it is really windy and dry. I went east on an errand, and the wind propelled me west on the way back.

This thought has occurred to me as well, isolation an dilution of opposing voices ……
I’m worried that the exodus from Meta and Twitter is what they want. To isolate us from each other.

Isolation is a big part of autocracy. It makes people easier to lie to and abuse.

I don’t have a global answer, but I am working on building a social media space for our podcast listeners.

Bluesky is so much better than the twit place, but the engagement could be better. It feels like lots of talking heads with little or no interest in personal engagement.

John is right, all genders should have equal protection under the law.
One thing no one has explained is why women's rights should vary by state, while men keep the same rights across the entire country, no matter where they live. Don't Americans have equal protection under the 14th Amendment?
