solar hate, at least on the left, is warranted. it uses minerals that are mined unethically, it devastates desert landscapes, but obviously it is a piece of the energy puzzle that is needed. just not in the way we do it now. we need urban wind and solar, not destroy landscapes for it like we do oil.
