My debut memoir with @groveatlantic.bsky.social comes out August 12th and here are the galleys! Six years of hard work. The cover is a picture of me from my first year on the hotshot crew. Twenty-one yr old me never would have believed this could ever happen, but here I am.

Still recovering from an oral surgery but I took another walk in one of my favorite places and found a nature collage.

I had time for a walk today and this is what I found.

This is half of my bookshelf. The books on my lower shelves are the ones I read to research my forthcoming book- books about wildfire, ecology, Indigenous land tending practices, and the mythology of the "wilderness."

The rest of the books are just for fun. And my doctoral exams. 🎉
