Advancing quantum science with machine learning. Dr. Nicola Lanatà earned an NSF LEAPS MPS grant for developing a data compression inspired method to streamline quantum simulations of strongly interacting electrons, boosting materials design and giving students access to cutting edge research.

Dr. Shahla Nasserasr earned an #NSF LEAPS-MPS grant for her project bridging combinatorics & eigenvalue multiplicities. Her research tackles the inverse eigenvalue problem, drawing on techniques like linear algebra & differential geometry and creates research and learning opportunities for students.

Emma Lenchenkova, an #RIT #Neuroscience student is using her Emerson Fellowship to study early neural biomarkers of #Alzheimer’s by comparing EEG data from young adults with/without a family history of the disease. The experience has solidified her desire to pursue a career in this type of research.
