Dr. Shahla Nasserasr earned an #NSF LEAPS-MPS grant for her project bridging combinatorics & eigenvalue multiplicities. Her research tackles the inverse eigenvalue problem, drawing on techniques like linear algebra & differential geometry and creates research and learning opportunities for students.

Emma Lenchenkova, an #RIT #Neuroscience student is using her Emerson Fellowship to study early neural biomarkers of #Alzheimer’s by comparing EEG data from young adults with/without a family history of the disease. The experience has solidified her desire to pursue a career in this type of research.

Zach Zhao, a fourth-year Applied #Stats & Data #Analytics student, is using game theory to model crop decisions under water scarcity through the Emerson #Fellowship. “It’s a great way to dive into #research and prep for grad school. I’m grateful for the chance to work so closely with Dr. Siewe.”
