once you reach the lab if you go back to the room where death steals your equipment they're just chilling and you can deal damage to them which transfers over to the boss fight

it makes slog and gab the only boss that can theoretically kill you, which if you beat them into phase 2 early w/ the death room thing it makes that easy too. honestly the hardest part is navigating the first few areas with 0 defense

what's even funnier ab luck mode is it makes doppel1 easier too cause your stats sucking so bad means it's do too. you can actually dark metamorphosis and heal off it's blood for 8 a hit while it was only doing 7 to me per hit

so the downside is your stats start out really shitty but past the first hour that doesn't really matter bc symphony of the night is an easy game

sure because i don't think people are annoyed by my brain diseases enough, i do think caring a bit about artistic vision in games should be extended towards taking time to set up emulators to provide an authentic experience rather than a high quality one. besides resolution, respect your eyes

but i am the type of person who set up gba emulation to be more color accurate and would look at recorded emulator footage of BN games i had played and been like "damn this shit looks too bright" like come on girl you are a small subspecies of individual who even cares about this

like ok it's not specifically bc it's crt that my eyes boggle out my head and i go "so retro!" cos a lot of the time esp w/ modern releases they have a crt mode that doesn't really actually represent what crts were like technically and how hardware got around or took advantage of those scanlines
