Not arguing that Cal's WAR would be a higher or lower (I have my opinions but I'm not a voter). Just that WAR is a metric that is taken as gospel when it misses a lot of what makes a great player and misses more of what makes a great catcher. Saying the higher war should be MVP just doesn't fly.

WAR doesn't treat catchers fairly since there's no impact from framing, or game management. Could argue similar soft skills impacts with other positions but I'm of the option that a catcher's impact is much more significant, unique...and tragically underestimated.
