Channeled my heavy emotions into cleaning the closet. Carpet is drying after its shampoo. It feels good to work on something. Carpet was gross through, so I’m going to have to shampoo it again before I put stuff back in the closet. But it’s my birthday now, so I’m taking a break until morning

Got a screw in my tire and now I have to get a whole new tire. Would have been nice if the screw was closer to the middle so it was patchable, but nope. At least I have a Firestone card

Just got home from an absolutely lovely bike ride date with @lierxagerate.bsky.social My ebike made it so I could keep up with him. Dinner at Michi then ice cream from Lick. I’m not sure how long the whole trip was, but I loved it. More bike dates are in our future for sure

I’m in a lyft to the airport for a work trip. I always get the worst anxiety leaving for trips on my own. I am able to push through the panic & get to my usual state of general unease, so I’ll be fine. Anyway, what should I do in Chicago today?

3 weeks post-op hysterectomy & it’s hitting so hard. I’m completely exhausted & useless. I can do so little in a day outside of my actual job. But I have so much to do that can’t wait, so I’m just tired. I would have taken short term disability, but I can’t live off 60% of my salary.

The other day Chris came home with a bonus present for me! The Lego Chrysanthemum! It’s extra cool cause it’s my 2nd favorite flower. My 1st favorite is the California Poppy, but that’s not available as Lego or at flower shops

I feel like my days are a rolling series of panic attacks. I don’t need perfection, just not the bottom of the barrel. At least I got my hysterectomy done & my problematic ovary removed before the end of the year so it all should be 100% covered by insurance.

Don’t know if it’s the ADHD, but I feel like I’ve forgotten something important. Like I’m actively making a huge mistake

At the dermatologist in Japan thanks to an eczema flare up. I had to reassure the dr that yes, I am allergic to hydrocortisone, the most common treatment for eczema. Also I got to walk into a dr office & get my cream for less than $50. I miss living here

I don’t want to seem ungrateful & don’t actually expect birthday presents at all. Without meaning to my whole life & on purpose for the past 18 years, I’ve only *ever* worn silver jewelry. I wear the same *silver* necklace everyday. Just got a necklace in the mail, likely from my sister, rose gold.

I love pharmacists. Like they are kind of scary, (intimidating?), but they can also tell me that my medications interact & save me from seriously injuring my liver. (But seriously how are they so intimidating?)

I’ve been putting on too many bird videos on youtube for the foster kitten & now my algorithm is all messed up. I wish that there was a “pets profile”. My cats don’t deserve ads & I’m not getting another premium sub, so jacked up algorithm it is.

Really thought I was just getting an oil change, tire rotation & alignment today. Nope! It’s also all new breaks & wheel bearing. Very cool. I love it. I’m not bitter at all about having just paid off my card before this.

I get so nervous talking to the pharmacist. She’s a little short, but I think it’s because she’s overworked, so I try to be extra polite with her. She’s really good & always responds to my requests. She’s just so intimidating!
