Skeltering, without helter, in place. That place is US America.

"America: Premodern Leadership for Postmodern Times."
Update: Mom broke down and is feeding, much jockeying for position and little squeals from the pups.

Found this sticker out today. I understand the impulse but you're gonna need liberals in order to defeat the fascists.

That sounds fantastic. Cooler sauce is great particularly as my palate has changed this year.

I have an overabundance of superhot peppers so my fridge is basically a bio-hazard with sauces, and I've resorted to dehydrating and powdering them. Your post reminded me to harvest again.

Slow Horses S05E02 "Incommunicado," an outstanding episode full of trenchant character touches.

Jackson Lamb on empathy: "Yeah, the person I got most sympathy for is me for having to put up with you."

Yikes! We know how this ends.

Since season 5 of Slow Horses has begun, I bring you wisdom and inspiration from Jackson Lamb in episode 1.

"Well, I personally don't plan to do much."

That site isn't responding well, so here's an image. Again, the hands are attached to a quartz mechanism so it functions as a normal clock.

This is my 92% friend Lily. About 6 years old they say. Looks goldie-ish, but just ish right?

Glad to get 4/5 on this difficult Wikipedia "Which happened First" quiz game. Keeps me away from more pernicious websites.

I mean c'mon: 1 minute in and I'm already doubled over.

Superhot peppers are often ugly but I find these (faddas I believe) very attractive.

Finally got 5/5 on the "Which Came First" game at Wikipedia. Knick of time as the world is sure to end soon.

Hard to believe my first edible peppers from the garden are Antohi Romani.

I've enjoyed looking at Ralph Pratt's The Vanilla Book. Stripped down basic versions of standards. They're not always perfect (e.g. Round Midnight in Ebm is relative to Gb, not Db) but it's good to see the barebones.

That TV studio probably had to be exorcised.

Ran across this David Fiuczynski double-neck. I think the top is a fretless electric 12-string.

Adorable. (Sorry graphics people for errors. I just swiped this to see.)

Love the NFL players who parodied her in a touchdown celebration.

Happy birthday Jim Hall.

Love his playing and the maximally dorky look he displays on his first LP, 1957.

Can't believe I'm still getting peppers the week of Thanksgiving.
