Wrestling fan since 2008. Love to write whether it’s stories or hashtag games. Always appreciate some comedy, be it light-hearted, dark or just absurd.
Thongs aren’t just articles of clothing, they’re what Mike Tyson does whenever he’s at a karaoke bar.

If vampires accomplish more during the day than you, that’s a sign you’re lazy.

Thinking about starting a book about a romance-minded optometrist that goes on skeezy dating sites.

Call it Looking For Love In All The Wrong Places.

Saw some of Jo Koy’s Golden Globe set and woof, last time I saw a trainwreck that big, I helped Fox McCloud and his crew on their mission at Macbeth.

🎶So leave the memories alone
I don't want to see
The way it is, as to how it used to be
Leave the memories alone, don't change a thing
And I'll hold you here in my memory🎶

The reason she’s Bluey is because some other cartoon character already said “I’m Reddy.”

Guy on Twitter/X says DUIs are victimless crimes, so I asked him point-blank
“How would you get home
if you left a bar after more than one drink?”

His response:

Learned Dana Carvey was in a Halloween movie, meaning he’s worked with both Mike Myers and Michael Myers.

To use a Disney analogy,
Thanksgiving is the Rescuers Down Under of holidays.
It’s still fun, just not on the same tier as what was before it and what came after it.

Came back from
a haunted house.
Just to let you know my mindset going in, they shouted “Fresh meat!” and I replied “Great! Been awhile since I had steak!”

Why did the Grim Reaper sign a contract with Nike?

He wanted to bring more soles to the afterlife.

Big Lots really should consider rebranding.

Anything I’ve ever said about the W being out on the Waffle House sign doesn’t come close to the cringe and secondhand embarrassment of seeing a neon Big Lots sign with an unlit L.

Why did Carrot Top visit an award show?

Because he knew they’d give him some props.

If this was a scene from a remake of Shrek, I’d be fine with it.

Too bad it’s supposed to be Disney’s Snow White.

Awhile back, I completed an ambitious project when I published License To Cheetah Print Money: An Action 52 Story, which is still available on Amazon.
(Cheap plug)

Anyway, I bring that up because I’m thinking about another bio/review for a video game.

Chip Chilla is to Bluey what the Tiger Electronic Handhelds are to the Game Boy.

Much thanks to BMovieManiacs for opening the doors wide open for me to share and discuss my thoughts on Plan 9 and Ed Wood. You guys are awesome and I wish you all a good night and even better Halloween coming up!
October 21, 2023 at 4:25 AM
BTW, the scariest thing I’ve seen come from a flying saucer wasn’t from Plan 9, it was the entirety of E.T. on the Atari 2600.
October 21, 2023 at 4:20 AM
Would I recommend Plan 9 From Outer Space?
Darn right I would.
If you’re feeling froggy for something rich in cheese, it’s gotcha covered.
October 21, 2023 at 4:16 AM
You could tell Ed Wood really tried with Plan 9 and it’s sad he never got to live long enough to see his work be re-evaluated as subversive cult classics and be the subject of everything from MST3K to a Johnny Depp-Tim Burton biopic that actually netted an Oscar.
October 21, 2023 at 4:11 AM
With all that said, is it a viable contender for worst film of all time? Probably, but it manages to be strangely endearing and you can see Ed Wood’s passion and ambition shine through at points, which makes it more palatable to get through than Manos or Birdemic.

Maybe if it was packaged as a light-hearted comedy, it would have mitigated somewhat the campy visuals of cardboard steering wheels in what’s supposed to be the cockpit of an airplane or rows of bockity tombstones on astroturf.
