The group has identified 8 Local Food Plants i.e Emoros, spider plant, Hibiscus, pumpkin, Okra, cowpeas, Amaranthus and Oyster nuts under the Rooted in Diversity project, which is financially supported by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation.

The group also has a savings arm and conduct trainings on Agroecology and Participatory Plant Breeding.

The farmer group has selected 2 variety crops i.e. Beans and Sesame. So far 28 plots of beans and 15 plots of Sesame have been established in the Farmer Field gardens. In addition to the 2 crop varieties above, they also grow 3 varieties of vegetables i.e Amaranthus, Okra and Spinach.
