As a fairly astute investor I try to be apolitical. And I can see some logic for saying to other countries we need you to kick in for all we’ve done. But in the end this a tax on working people to pay for tax cuts that will disproportionately help the rich. That’s all it is.

Interestingly today’s bond sale was an A+ which was very unusual given the backdrop. My bet Japan was the buyer. An hour later Trump removed the tariffs.

In business what separates the winners from losers, isn’t some unique idea, it’s in the execution of those ideas. Musk didn’t invent Tesla but he executed it well. Trump is incapable of the patience & intelligence to execute such a complex undertaking. Congress needs to step up.

It takes a special mindset to speak to self reliance as a virtue while using fear to engender reliance. They literally will refer to Trump as Daddy’s home. The implication being he’ll make everything OK. What happened to being self reliant.

Chris we get it. But you need to put some teeth on it. Make it clear that Dems will make it part of their platform to recoup every ill gotten dollar. The emoluments clause will deliver consequences.
