The lying is, to a certain extent, to be expected. It's the sanctimoniousness that really irritates.
Mike Johnson talks about the Republican "healthcare plan" like it's highly classified information: "We're not gonna be on a conference call explaining all our plans and strategies for healthcare reform, because they're leaked in real time."

We remember
Remember how just a few years ago during the worst of the pandemic when we saw how the govt can actually do big things and saw that our collective health & well-being are intertwined, and then corporations got mad that they lost a modicum of power and helped fund a backlash of amnesia and fascism?

No! Our government doesn’t operate like this! It’s full of principled geniuses who put the American taxpayer’s welfare first. Not.
What he not saying is that his friends and cronies invested a fortune in Argentina since their guy Milei won, they stand to lose a big chunk of those fortunes the way things are going, and Argentina’s elections are in two weeks and we are tampering in them to bail Milei out.

Remember, it was the Washington Post who gave Bondi a thumbs up to be confirmed. Democracy Docket made clear from day one that she was an election denying sycophant.

No surprise at their coverage of today. Support independent, pro-democracy media today. hubs.ly/Q03M8rql0

LOOK AT ALL THE PEOPLE DESPERATELY RUNNING 26 MILES, 385 YARDS TO ESCAPE A WAR ZONE
It was a beautiful Sunday in Portland. Farmer’s markets, the Portland Marathon, peaceful protests, and some views of Mt. Hood. This city is vibrant, peaceful, and resilient. We do not need a federal occupation, and we sure as hell don’t want one.

Gotta, just gotta, have someone to punch down on so as to justify the victim persona he cosplays. Even money the homeless person recognized Vance as the fat tub of MAGA lard he is and was simply exercising his First Amendment rights.
Or maybe you could teach your kids to treat all people as deserving of respect and dignity. And maybe you could talk to your kids about homelessness, the unaffordability of housing and healthcare, the stigma around mental illness, and why it's not okay to call people crazy.
JD Vance on homelessness: "I don't know why we accepted that it was reasonable to have crazy people yelling at our kids. You should not have to cross the street in downtown Atlanta to avoid a crazy person yelling at your family. Those are your streets."

He cares not one whit about whether average American lives are worse.
Tell people that a fair election was rigged and they lose faith in democracy. Tell them that objective economic data is rigged and they lose faith in the US economy. In both cases, it's a lie. And in both cases, it makes every American's life worse. www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...

There’s many ways to let the World know of one’s supreme idiocy and supporting laziness. As it’s often said in Oklahoma, “It don’t matter” and “He don’t read and what not.”
How is it that a lawmaker going on TV to talk about something has no clue what he's talking about?

It's cringeworthy.
MARKWAYNE MULLIN: Bondi can't release Epstein information because if it has been heard by a grand jury, the judge that oversaw the case has to release it, and you know that

JAKE TAPPER: I don't think that's correct. It doesn't work that way.

Vought couldn't get a job selling hotdogs. A mediocre and hate-filled mind.
trump is first and foremost a vehicle for delusional extremists — most of whom are total mediocrities — to impose their ideologies on the country, with vought as a paradigmatic example
TAPPER: 14 Republicans say you're risking undermining critical research by holding up NIH funding

VOUGHT: If they were a company, their stock price would in shambles. They in some respects caused the pandemic. You have an entire institute that does nothing more than DEI research at the NIH.
