Read the NBER research on the economic consequences of Brexit..cist us 6-8pct of GDP...it has been an unmitigated disaster. Even Ryan Bourne of teh Cato Institute, who was a prominent Leave economist, has admitted it has been dire and apologised! (See ToL yesterday)

What about at less prestigious universities who dont have over subscriptions..they'll struggle. A friend teaches at such an institution & foreign student nos have gone down(because of visa being harder to get) & they are laying off staff. foreign students already subsidise locals, so this isn't good

The head of University of Manchester said the levy would have to be absorbed by the University as the market for international students is very competitive. The levy will do the exact opposite of what you suggest. It's yet another ridiculous policy by the government!

Would love it to be true but you can't get a pts deduction for a lack of cooperation (as it doesnt give you a spirting advantage)....only a fine....
