It's hard to write about happy characters, so Viv & Tandri take a backseat to a foul-mouthed Rattkin bookseller, a stoic elf warrior & an absolute lunatic chaos goblin. The results are spectacular!

Began Sarah Beth Durst’s next book last night: The Faraway Inn (March ‘26). Pretty great so far! My 3rd Durst book this year: safe to say she’s a new favorite!

This one is rapidly growing on me. The Police, Reggatta de Blanc (1979). Before my time in terms of being aware of new music, but full of delicious bass lines & their patented “white reggae.”

Spring of 1992 I first heard Tori Amos in a friend's gaff. I dubbed a copy & listened to her for months.

Today, I got my hands on a vinyl copy of Little Earthquakes & it’s like listening to the album for the first time.

Trying to focus on the positive this afternoon. This book, Seanan McGuire’s Every Heart a Doorway, is fantastic! A short burst of clever creativity.

Wheel of Time S3 is off to a spectacular start! Still feel that it's more akin to fan fiction than an accurate translation of the books to screen, but that's not a bad thing, because it's made with love by some very talented fans! Just wish there were more episodes.

I avoided Kevin Hearne’s Iron Druid books during my first attempt at writing a “Druids-in-the-modern-world” novel, not wanting to be unduly influenced. I finally turned that project into a pilot script, Morrígan, so now I get to dive into this fast-paced and wryly funny series!
