You would be correct in your assessment that you are a nerd 🤣. My nerdiness lies elsewhere such as the logistics required in mounting a campaign by the late Republic/early Principate Roman Army or indeed how the Syntagma of an ancient Greek polis trained for battle 🤪🤣

Been happening for years in France. I had a great chat about that with Simon Shaw a few years back and I asked him how Toulon treated the players and basically they’re treated like property 🤷🏻♂️

Not a fan of it at all. There is way too much rugby but that’s not the real culprit, that would be the greed for money
