Day 1 of the Visual Neuroscience course at the MBL in Woods Hole. The legendary John Dowling and Michael Do, both from Harvard, gave fabulous intro lectures on photoreceptors And the lab is humming! Can’t wait for day 2!

Taken last week at Cliff House, Mesa Verde National Park. Beautiful structures built around 1100 AD by people with exceptional masonry skills. One of my top ten time travel destinations.

I even got one with the moon in the center, but I had to shift the approach angle and move so close that the moon looked tiny relative to the arch.

Trump must have played Risk as a kid. The goal is to conquer and hold a continent, and then the whole world. N America earns you 7 extra armies per turn, but you need to conquer Canada, Mexico, Greenland, and Central America, and then you fortify the borders to keep foreigners out.
