Conservative voters are a nuanced bunch, unlike the caricatures painted by their opponents. Lots of old school Tories want to consider themselves good, decent people. Braverman stops them doing that. She’s a one-person brand toxification machine. The cognitive dissonance will drive voters away.

Politicians on both sides of the Atlantic are still doing that 20th century thing where they take binary stances on complicated international issues because they think people need simple answers to complex issues. Some do. But the internet has made many more astute and they demand smarter thinking.
