Also - what is this? @doublearrow64.bsky.social is there a process for getting this right, or is it enough just to stick flags on stuff? Branding seems all over the place.

It’s a mistake. Either GBR management are visibly in charge and gripping performance and delivery, or they’re not. ‘Earning the right’ smacks of contracts and incentives to contractors to do something if they don’t mind. They need to create standards and work with the industry to make it happen.

Plus plenty of Green Line services. And, from Eastern Counties, our no 73 school bus. We had an NBC red VR from Norwich to the Barbican, and persuaded the driver to put up ‘73 Special’ for the day.

And finally for today, as #Route19RunningDay approaches its close, here’s a close up of one of the 15 Regent RT types out today. There were more than 30 buses in all, making this one of the biggest London heritage running days. Thanks a lot wto everyone who set it up and joined in. #Route19 (20/20)

It really was a great read - looking forward to catching up on the others. Hope all’s well. I’ve been less on social media since the post-Twitter great disintegration (everything’s just a bit more difficult!) but always looking out for your stuff.

That’s an extraordinary photo: a very large chunk of Lasdun’s Teaching Wall is ‘missing’. The small fragment of it here is waiting for the next block to be added. The current end wall is just like the end shown here, still waiting for another block to be joined to it. I wonder when this dates from?

It looks a lot like it. A few variations and very different weights. The sloping terminals look right. I’ve been peering over lots of pictures/printing using AG from that period, and there were many variants - ironically for a typeface also named ‘Standard’.
