This might be the only decent thing that Lauren Boebert has done in her time in Congress. I expect she’ll cave.

One of the sources said the planned meeting would include Attorney General Pam Bondi, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, FBI Director Kash Patel and Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado, who has wanted the Justice Department to release their trove of Epstein files and has signed onto the effort in the US House to force the vote compelling their release.

I can't believe we here again. I can't believe how hard America has fallen. The number of Americans who support a cruel, abusive kakistocracy is staggering and heartbreaking. I shake with anger every time I think about it. And then I face an inconvenient truth. We haven't invented Star Trek's transporter technology, so we can't beam 50 million racist Americans to the other racist planet in the outer reaches of our galaxy. We have to find ways to reach them, to educate them. And the way to do that is to expand opportunities for all Americans so they study beside people of color, and work with folks who are neurodivergent, and fight against criminal capitalism with citizens who use different pronouns. It's going to be a long slog, so we better get started.

It’s not often that someone famous passes, and I’m moved to tears. I don’t cry easily.

But Jane Goodall’s death has me wiping away fresh tears every few minutes.

What a life she lived. She taught me more about religion and decency and honour than any priest, or cardinal or minister ever could.

On Friday, this Canadian cancelled my subscription to #Disney & donated $25 to support @propublica.org’s independent, fearless journalism.

Trump has cowed American corporations & the American media. This is a frightening time & we need to fight harder.

How we spend money is powerful.

Not only did the Canadian women’s rugby team beat New Zealand, which that hasn’t lost a game in the World Cup since 2014, they CROWDFUNDED this whole endeavour.

Next week, they play for the cup, but they’ve already won our hearts.

Last monarch butterfly of the season. Twenty-two survived, two had incomplete wings but flew around our yard for a few days (we hope happily), and one died leaving the chrysalis. One caterpillar had a heart attack.

It’s been a good season & a bright light for us both.
