Can someone please explain this kind of car to me?

The cabin is good for kids, but not kids AND groceries. The truck bed is inconveniently sized for all the things I might want to use a truck bed for.

It comes in two shades of red, though, so I guess there's that.

He accidentally wound up at a lake with Lord Byron.
Ryan Gosling reclines handsomely on half a boat - still with luggage! - on a lake with mountains in the background. I don't *think* this is the same black coat because I can't see the wrist buckles. I do think a boat in the middle of the lake is a sensible distance away from Lord Byron and Claire Claremont discovering their incompatibilities. The roughly two centuries of linear time also helps.

Possible explanations:

The dude ranch overbooked and Gosling has nowhere to leave his luggage.
Ryan Gosling, surrounded by designer luggage, tries to build a campfire. He is still wearing the black coat from the pic on the horse. No amount of dry cleaning is going to resolve that coat's trauma.

I am trying to figure out what is UP with Gosling's equitation here, but mostly I am entertained.

I hear the horse's name is Zorro. I might be mistaken about the name, but I am not mistaken that the horse is perfect.
An actor in an expensive coat hold's Zorro's head and offers him a flat hand to sniff. No doubt the actor was told to do it that way, as if Zorro has no manners. Someone has dragged a lot of expensive luggage into the frame and the actor is wearing a very expensive, light-colored coat that justice demands a streak of green horse drool on. Same actor, different coat. Ryan Gosling sits very awkwardly in a Western saddle, holding the reins in a basically correct Western fashion, except with a death grip. His posture is quite awkward, probably because of the luggage draped over and around him. The framing largely excludes Zorro, who I hope is being fed treats out of frame, because if he were to break out into a mildly enthusiastic amble, the cross body strap would strangle Mr. Gosling. It is possible that Ryan is uncomfortable on horses, but also possible that he is uncomfortable with strangulation hazards, and/or confused about how he has wound up at a dude ranch that won't check him into a room where he can leave his luggage. Imo, Ryan needs a hat and some sunscreen.

You can draw a pretty short straight line from this look to Princess Leia.
HRH Princess Anne of the United Kingdom on her first wedding day in 1973. Anne is wearing a white dress with a high neck, angel-wing sleeves, and decorative seams embellishing the front of the bodice. The wind has caught her veil, making it appear to float skyward. If you look closely, it appears that someone has put a construction pallet under a bearskin rug to create some height to better display the gown's graceful train, and perhaps to protect it from contact with the floor of the balcony on which she is posing. I get the feeling the weather wasn't great. Towards the lower right-hand edge of the photo, an electrical outlet and some serious power cords are within frame. On the left hand side, there is some guy in a fancy military uniform.

My favorite piece was this shirt, which I wanted to crawl into to photograph the seams.
A white linen shirt with puffy sleeves and neck detailing appropriate to its historical period, which I regret I do not recall. Although the garment appears unassuming, I am certain it rendered the wearer unspeakably attractive, especially if cuffs were rolled up over forearms at all.
