I like Art Deco buildings, and we have a lot in the UK.
Here is a photo of the Gaumont State Cinema in Kilburn, North London. The designer, George Coles, produced nearly 90 cinemas in the London area during the interwar period. Building is now a church.

London Underground no longer has wooden escalators for safety reasons after King's Cross fire, but the last one is still in place at Alperton station, decommissioned.
It is going to be removed and replaced with a lift to make station step free.
