3.) It’s not enough to work hard, though that’s important, the world is changing faster than ever, & if you don’t advance your knowledge, improve your skills, adapt new technology and techniques, you get left behind.
What interest/hobby/skill are you learning right now?

2.) While both of these are for pure enjoyment, I’ve been thinking about the importance of continually learning, improving, growing, changing.

I see too many people — in their careers or their businesses (and even their relationships) who are content to coast through life.

7.) What do you think the Year of the Snake will bring your business this year? Share your hopes with me on here!

6.) ** Being patient. Yes, this seems contradictory to striking fast, but think about a snake. Snakes sleep patiently and quietly in the warm sun, limiting the expenditure of resources, until just the right opportunity – or prey – comes along. Get yourself ready to pounce, but be patient.

5.) ** Striking fast. Snakes move at lightning speeds to catch their prey. You shouldn’t go off in all directions (and won’t if you’ve done that strategic planning), but when good opportunities arise this year,  move quickly.

4.) ** Strategic planning. The snake is considered introspective and intelligent, so this is a particularly good year to engage in strategic planning for your business. It’s a year to think ahead, analyze the competition, better understand your target customers, develop a coherent marketing plan.

3.) ** Making and saving money. The attribute most often associated with the snake is  “cunning,” and  means not only knowing how to connive to make money, but also to be smart and squirrel it away. Thus, snake years are considered auspicious for small businesses in terms of income.

2. In thinking of your small business or entrepreneurial venture, this year should be a good year for:
** Reinventing. Snakes shed their skin, and so can you. Whether reinventing yourself, your products, your services, or your organization, 2025 will be a propitious year for makeovers & do-overs.
