#OTD in #Nuremberg, November 30, 1945. Col. John Amen, assistant American Prosecutor, called the Tribunal's first witness, Major Gen. Erwin Lahousen, a former German military intelligence officer and one of the survivors of a small group of plotters who tried to assassinate Hitler in July 1944.

Twenty-four leading Nazi war criminals first heard the indictments against them on October 18, 1945. The Indictment was read again on the first day of the trial, November 20, 1945.
