As I recall from the early frontier days of the internet, Amazon copyrighted the phrase "One Click Buying" or something like that; Apple had to license it from them in order to use it. It was silly.

I showed The Thing to my son and his friends some years back (college-aged at the time). One of his friends told me after that he hated me because I'd ruined all other horror movies for him from that moment, because The Thing was the best horror film he'd ever seen.

The modern sci-fi horror that set the bar. I still believe almost every s/f horror film since has some ALIEN D.N.A. in it.
Was 13 years old (friend's mom bought the tickets). Nightmares ever since. Had the Heavy Metal graphic novel, the sketchbooks, and all the s/f magazines that featured it.

I remember many of those well, having played the FASA game for years with a few friends back in the 80s.
